Requirements to Join
Breeders, Exhibitors and Multi Pet Households
- Are based in the UK or Ireland
- AND own a minimum of 1 active* breeding bitch/queen
- OR own 2 entire males registered with a UK or Ireland governing body (RKC, IKC, GCCF, TICA et al., documentation must be available upon request)
- OR own a minimum of 1 cat or dog that has been exhibited within the last 12 months at a show of a UK or Ireland governing body
- OR are a multi household with at least 4 dogs or cats
- AND confirm compliance with all applicable animal welfare and breeding legislation.
- AND confirm compliance with the Royal Canin Responsible Breeding Charter (LINKED HERE)
- AND if applicable, confirm that they hold any licences required by their local authority. Agree to provide supporting documentation upon request, including breeding licences, registration certificates, health testing records, or other evidence of responsible breeding practices, within 14 working days.
VALIDATION
- If applicable, a Royal Canin Associate will validate enrolment criteria within 3 months of membership start date to ensure compliance with the Royal Canin Responsible Breeding Charter and 5 Freedoms of Animals (LINKED HERE)
*A female dog or cat that has had a litter in the last 60 days, OR is currently being mated OR is scheduled for mating in the next 12 months as part of an active breeding programme.
Rescue Centres and Animal Shelters
- Are based in the UK or Ireland
- AND Minimum of 10 animals under your care
- OR Minimum of 50 successful rehomings across a calendar year
- AND Local council regulations and licence requirements must be adhered to
- AND Dog and Cat recommendation process must be discussed with the new pet owners prior to rehoming
- AND Royal Canin Responsible Rescue Charter must be adhered to
